AURORA LAB

I am happy to live far enough to the north to see auroras often. The solar magnetic maximum under 2023-2024 has moved the border of visibility as far as to Central Europe, so you have surely seen plenty of pictures of that fabulous phenomenon.

But what is the actual colour of Aurora? Fresh green? Neon-purple? Red? All - or none of this?

Human eye is not capable to see colours properly in the dark, son unfortunately we can only guess the colours so long we don’t use long exposure devices.

​

For me that fact implies a big freedom to have it my way. I see aurora as a rare and very flexible artistic medium. So welcome to my aurora lab!
